Hi, I’m Alicia. I’m 36 years old, have two kids, and was born and raised in New Mexico. I have been a licensed substance use counselor since 2013 and a licensed mental health counselor since 2017. I have lived experience with raising neurodivergent children and being a late diagnosed neurodivergent adult. I enjoy rockhounding, hiking, coloring, listening to audio books, and sleeping.

I offer counseling and support to teens and adults who are navigating challenges such as substance use, anxiety, life transitions/change, stress, and parenting children with additional needs. I enjoy working with neurodivergent individuals who are struggling with executive functioning and overwhelmed by daily tasks.

I see my role as being someone good to talk to, who sometimes has helpful insights or ideas to share. My approach is collaborative and non-judgmental, and my goal is to create an open-minded and authentic therapeutic environment. I draw from evidence-based practices including person-centered care, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, harm reduction, neurodivergent and queer affirming care, and psychedelic-assisted therapy.

I look forward to meeting you!
