Jennie Dunnell

Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with over 7 years of mental
health experience in a variety of settings including in solo and group private practices,
community agency, and in the Albuquerque Public Schools system. I graduated with a
Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of New Mexico and a
Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of the
Southwest.

I am certified and specialize in perinatal mental health, which refers to pregnancy, as
well as the postpartum period. I have advanced training in infant mental health and child
development for the age range of 0-5 years old. I am passionate about working with
clients during these critical early stages. My hope is to help create and foster lasting
positive impacts for clients and their families.

I provide evidence-based therapy through all life stages to address problems related to
mood, anxiety, trauma, and relationships. My preferred therapeutic approaches are
Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy (CBT); however, I believe each individual and family is unique, and therapy
should be approached in a way that honors that. I am trained in several therapeutic
modalities and will partner with you to find the best approach for your needs.

Therapy is a collaboration, and I encourage clients to be active in their own treatment. Together, we will identify your therapeutic goals, develop your treatment plan, and measure your progress. I look forward to working with you!
